Standard features

• Carrying handle

  The STIHL battery-powered lawn mower has a carrying handle integrated into the housing for ease of transport. The handle makes the cordless mower easier to load or return to the upright position. The carrying handle is also suitable as a lashing point, for example for securing the lawn mower with a strap during transport.

• Foldable grass catcher box

  The innovative grass catcher box is made of plastic and features a folding mechanism that makes it particularly easy to open and empty. The current of air produced during mowing blows the clippings into the grass catcher box and ensures its optimum filling. Special vanes in the box channel the air towards the ground, and so protect the user and lawn mower alike from dust and dirt that has been thrown up. The level indicator signals the correct time for emptying. The airflow generated by the blade raises the level indicator. When the basket is full, the airflow stops. If the airflow is too low, the level indicator returns to its idle state and this is an indication to empty the catcher box. Optimal airflow is required in order for the level indicator to function fully. External influences such as wet, dense or tall grass, a low cutting height, contamination, etc. may affect the airflow and the performance of the level indicator.

• Flow-optimised blades

  

  The flow-optimised blade trims the grass with minimal resistance, only swirling the air as much as absolutely necessary. As a result it consumes minimal battery capacity, which means that the stored energy is sufficient for the largest possible area.

• Central cutting height adjustment

  The central cutting height adjustment on this STIHL battery-powered lawn mower is spring-loaded making it easy to operate, and has several adjustment levels to obtain the desired cutting height for the lawn. The current height is indicated by a scale. In this way, the grass can always be optimally adapted to the conditions of the lawn surface and the use.

• Polymer housing

  The housings of the STIHL battery-powered lawn mowers are made of a high-quality polymer material. This extremely lightweight polymer housing combines high resistance and robustness against forces, heat and UV radiation.

• Easy-running wheels

  The easy-running wheels of our cordless lawn mowers are extremely robust and hard-wearing. They have been equipped with a traction pattern and directional stability tread pattern for effortless manoeuvring and perfect line holding during mowing.

• Foldable handlebar

  Thanks to its foldable handlebar, the battery-powered lawn mower can be quickly and easily folded. This enables the STIHL lawn mower is be stored very compactly or moved to the next place of use

• Eco mode

  Eco mode automatically adapts the speed of the lawn mower motor to the actually required power. As a result, the STIHL battery-powered lawn mower consumes very little energy and can cover a larger area before it needs to be recharged. Eco mode is permanently activated on this particularly efficient model.

• AK 20

  Compact lithium-ion battery for the AK System with a voltage of 36 V and a capacity of 144 Wh. Battery life depends on the device type. With charge level indicator (LED). Compatible with AL 101, AL 100, AL 300 and AL 500 chargers.

• STIHL Smart Connector

  STIHL Connected is a cloud based system that enables professional users to digitally manage machine fleets and work assignments.

  This is managed by the STIHL Smart Connector - a sensor with a diameter of just under 5cm, which is mounted on the tool. It can be mounted on petrol, electric or battery-powered tools where it records and saves the operating hours while the motor is running and transmits this information via Bluetooth® 4.2 to the STIHL connected App (the smart connector can be mounted on non-STIHL tools too). The Smart Connector offers entirely new functions and services, as a basis for device management both in your home garden using the STIHL connected App, and for managing your machine fleet using the STIHL connected Portal. The STIHL connected Portal gives you a detailed overview of the status of your fleet of tools, as well as information such as duration of use on a particular work assignment.

  You can view power tool availability, analyse machine usage; plan and manage work tasks with associated resources; and analyse machine data, which you can then use to optimise your daily work processes. The Smart Connector also provides information about upcoming tool maintenance and, if needed, the system can arrange a workshop appointment directly with a STIHL Approved Dealer. Service-related tool data can also be shared with the dealer with your permission, so they can plan the servicing work in advance and order any necessary spare parts. This can shorten service times so the tool is quickly ready for use again.

• AL 101 Standard charger

  230 V charger, recommended for STIHL AK System batteries. With operating mode indicator (LED) and passive battery cooling. Cable tie with Velcro strap.The charger can be wall mounted if required.
